Kickaroos - Gadget-kicking-deadly-fun

Published by gman under sports, toy Edit This

Now you know when CNN has this toy on its Most Dangerous Toys list it just has to be a kick. I’m almost thinking if I they had those lists when I was a kid, I’d ready it just to know what toys to buy.

Seriously now, we should all be careful when purchasing what could be dangerous toys. And just remember to always wear protective gear. Just because the kid on the box doesn’t have a helmet on doesn’t mean you should too.

Ok, warning done. These look like fun, never tried them, and there is no indication on how high you might go. It’s nice to see that these come in different sizes for a snug fit, have rubber high-traction tread, and they are a bit pricey so most kidos just won’t go out and buy them without parental knowledge.

So, as the website reads: get out there and bounce like a gazelle, BUT BE SAFE.

The USB Exercising Mouse

Published by gman under computer, office, toy Edit This

Now you can have a mouse that works for you. This USB Mouse will pedal away as you type. The faster you type the faster the mouse pedals.

This is really cool to. This mouse will also keep track of how many words you type per day. Instead of tracking miles he keeps track of your word count. Get one for your cube mate or the whole office to have competitions. The only problem I see is that it might make us all a bit more productive.

Of note: while this mouse is activated through the USB port, it does require 2xAA batteries. This is actually a good thing as you wouldn’t want to suck power from your computer. Especially if you plan on taking this guy on the road.

Fun with a USB Missle Launcher

Published by gman under computer, toy Edit This

Everyone has some form of security software installed on their computers to defend from enemy attack. But what about attack from real people that might just want to come steal your system.

You can now put up a true physical defense barrier around your computer with this USB missle launcher. Unsuspecting intruders, or the guy over the cubical wall can be zeroed in on and have missles launched at. Just take aim with mouse or keyboard control and fire away! Ok theyse may just be foam darts but think of all the fun. I might even suggest you purchase a USB hub and stockpile.

Happy launching, I saw this at the Gadget Hub

Pogo Stick - Not for the faint hearted

Published by gman under toy Edit This

Do you want to bounce into the outer atmosphere?

When I was a kid, a pogo stick had a very, very, very short lifecycle. Why? Because it never seemed to bounce quite high enough. I mean I wanted to fly! For thrills, when I was a kid, I would jump off the top of my house and garage (*this is not intended for you to follow*). After all I liked heights and coming down was just as fun.

So, TODAY, bounce in the Flybar. A pogo stick that can bounce you up a good 4 feet. Not quite as high as the top of my garage but I’d give it a go!

Bladerunner Black Ghost Micro Infrared RC Helicopter

Published by gman under toy Edit This

Ever let your imagination get away with you and just want to fly around in your apartment or living room? Secret missions are only a step away with this little infra-red indoor helicopter. Just imagine swooping down to attack Fido. Better yet, get two and have a fleet invasionCompletely assembled and ready to fly for flights up to 10 minutes and recharged in about 20 minutes. But if you’re smart you’ll buy additional 6AA batteries so that you can basically have continuous flight while you recharge standbys. Some of the features I liked:NO experience necessary!

Extremely stable flight

Pleo, the one week-old baby Camarasaurus dinosaur

Published by gman under toy Edit This

Ok, I have just come out of the cave and discovered this little beasties. Got to be one of the cutest robots on the planet. Pleo will feel like one of the family with his/her expressive movements, emotions, and exploration into the world. The only real downside I can see to this dino is you WILL have to dig a little deep into your pocketbook.

One of the coolest fads is a companion website (pleoworld.com) that allows different owners to connect with one another and find out how to raise this creature from the past. You really have to go and read the specs on the little dino robot as it is quite amazing to read what it is made of and what it can do.
